Advice - Always consult a professional or experienced decorator prior to use. It can be difficult for ourselves to advise remotely on the multitude of surfaces and conditions you may encounter.

Application - Bristol highly recommend using good quality brushes and rollers; for 1035/1035x/1035s Hamilton Perfection Pure Synthetic Brushes and for 1035/1035x a Purdy medium pile 9” roller. Available from various suppliers online or instore.

1035 Interior - Always apply a uniform white base-coat of 1000 (interior) and two coats of 1035, never any more than two coats of 1035. Due to its translucent make up 1035 is not easily touched in.

1035x Exterior - Always apply a uniform white base-coat of 1000x (exterior) and two coats of 1035x, never any more than two coats of 1035x. Due to its translucent make up 1035x is not easily touched in.

1035ss Interior Wood Satin – Can be used on interior woodwork e.g. doors, skirting and shelves. Always apply a uniform white base-coat of 1000ss interior wood satin and two coats of 1035ss interior wood satin for best results.

If you are using another manufacturer’s product e.g. undercoat or primer with any Bristol products, we recommend you test a small section first before painting the entire area, to ensure compatibility.

We do not recommend interior 1035ss wood satin for exterior use. Please note due to the smoother finish of interior wood satin it doesn’t have the same deep matt finish as 1035 and 1035x. This is the compromise made to manufacture this specialist colour in a hard wearing paint for use on woodwork.
